- The cross-Canada Walk for Literacy
has been cancelled. The learner, Carol Bossio, and the BC
planning crew, have decided that insufficient sponsorship and
personal factors prohibited embarking on this massive project. Thank
you to all of our contacts who had indicated interest in
participating in a local shadow walk. Special thanks to LeRae
Rigney, Journeys staff, Jim Rondeau, Global Communications, Lauren
Gawletz and West Regional members on the proposed Trans-Canada walk
path. We will keep you posted if this project is resurrected in
1999.
