All of us at the LPM Office wish you a happy and restful summer - well deserved after your great work for literacy in one form or another. We at LPM will be on summer hours, in and out, so please call 947-5757 before coming in to the office.

Supporters raise money at the Peter Gzowski Invitational Golf Tournament for Literacy

The weather cooperated!! It was one of the most beautiful summer days we've seen this year. As they participated in a variety of contests on the holes, golfers enjoyed the beautiful course at Elmhurst Golf and Country  All to support literacy! Read the story and see the pictures of the PGI.

Celebrate the arrival of the latest Harry Potter novel at the Fairmont Hotel

The Fairmont Hotel is sponsoring a Wizards and Witches Weekend on July 20. Readers can reserve a room, relax, and receive a copy of Harry Potter as soon as it arrives. For every room booked, the hotel will donate $25 to LPM.

Important literacy events are planned for the fall!

September is Literacy Month. LPM will hold its Open House on September 6, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Also in September, at a date to be announced soon, the premier will present the Council of the Federation literacy award to an adult learner at the Breakfast of Champions.

Raise-a-Reader Day is October 3.

The LPM Annual General Meeting will be held in mid-November.
