Laurie Mustard signs on as PGI Poet Laureate

Laurie Mustard has agreed to fill the role of PGI poet laureate 2006. Laurie, as most of you know, is a celebrated humorist and writer. He has a much-followed column in The Winnipeg Sun. The PGI Committee is thrilled to have Laurie on board to provide the “final word” at the PGI banquet.

We are only weeks away from June 12th and the most successful PGI in our 16 year history. Most of the sponsorship is in place. With the addition of new sponsors, Thompson Dorfman Sweatman, COOL-FM, Pizza Hut, and Agricore United we now have more than 30 Major and Hole Sponsors.

Musical entertainers Walle Larsson and Jodie Borle will bring their COOL Jazz stylings to the lunch and dinner. Shelagh Rogers, national host of CBC's "Sounds like Canada", will add her wit, charm and love of the PGI as she roams around the course with her hosting partner, Annitta Stenning.

Please call LPM at 947-5757 to be involved in this great event. You can help in the following ways:

  • Make a donation to Literacy Partners of MB. in the name of the PGI
  • Donate / solicit prizes to be used as golfer prizes or auction prizes
  • Register to golf – bring a team
