From the Editor's desk .

The Spring Edition of Write On will be combined with the Summer Edition and published in late August this year. Print copies will be sent to all contributors and to all literacy programs. The newsletter will also be sent to each centre via email in PDF format. This will allow centres to print specific pages or the whole newsletter if they wish.

I would like to thank all of the literacy practitioners who faxed student work to me and/or wrote an article about their program. I have a wonderful collection of material that I know you and your learners will enjoy reading when you return to your program in September.

I apologize for the delay in publication or learner writing. I ran into one time conflict after another this year. In fact, I was busy working on the Spring Edition when what I thought was a pulled muscle turned into an emergency appendectomy … so much for that deadline!

Have a great summer everyone. I’ll be thinking of you as I put together your newsletter. This is a task that I very much enjoy, especially when I have time to do a proper job.
