Nine adult learners graduate from Learner Speaker training

Students from Open Doors Adult Literacy Program, Stevenson-Britannia Adult Learning Centre, EPW - Bridges to Employment Program, and the Aboriginal Literacy Program successfuly completed public speaking training conducted by LPM Learner Outreach Coordinator Jan Graham. These graduates are now qualified to speak to community groups on behalf of LPM about the importance of going back to school.

Students spoke of the difficult challenges in their life which eventually motivated them to upgrade their education. With one voice, they urged kids not to drop out of school, but if they had done so, to take the second chance that was being offered to them by adult education programs. The speakers thanked their teachers for inspiring them, and Jan Graham for training them to be public speakers.
